Celebrating two decades of community children's theatre

MTC provides school age children with a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in a variety of theatre arts activities. Each semester, every MTC student “gets a part” with direct on-stage experience. Besides acting, singing and dancing, MTC students develop behind the scenes skills in set and prop design, lighting, sound effects, makeup, stage management, and even directing. These activities help build self-confidence, teamwork, responsibility, problem solving, communication, and leadership skills.

MTC Registration Fall 2026 is now Open

MainStage Productions are open to students in grades 5th -12th and our KIDS production is open to kids in grades 2nd-5th.

Actors will participate in ONE of our three productions from this semester based on their grade/expressed interest.

Aristocats KIDS (2nd-5th)

Dress Rehearsals/shows NOVEMBER 11th-13th @ The Metropolitan Theatre. Rehearsals will begin in September. Load in will be on November 11th. As of now, we only have 3 days in the Met, but there is a possibility we can get another day! There is a high chance we will be doing school shows for this production. In the past, these productions have sold out! More info on dates to come as I hear from the MET.

MTC MainStage Production (MSP):Mary Poppins: 6th -12th grades; dress rehearsals/shows OCTOBER 5th-11th @ The Metropolitan Theatre Rehearsals will begin AUGUST 3rd! This show has a fast turn around, so we will begin as soon as possible Load in to the Met Theatre is October 5th; dress rehearsals 5th-7th; School show will be held on October 8th. Public shows will be the 8th @ 7:00, the 9th @ 7:00, the 10th @ 2:00 or 7:00 and the 11th @ 2:00

A Christmas Story : 5th-12th grades; dress rehearsals/shows NOVEMBER 30th-DECEMBER 6th @ The Metropolitan Theatre Rehearsals will begin in September.Load in to the Met Theatre is November 30th; dress rehearsals November 30th – December 2nd, Public shows are tentatively the 3rd @ 7:00, the 4th @ 7:00, the 5th @ 2:00 or 7:00 and the 6th @ 2:00. There is a good chance we will have 1 or even 2 school performances for this production. More info to come! Tech Week: Tech week consists of dress rehearsals and the performances and attendance is mandatory; it is a very busy week! After the final performance, all must help with strike (moving all items out of the theatre).*Directors may want an actor from outside of grade cut offs for their production.
